Former School Board member
Ethel L. Jahn, 95, of Streetsboro, died April 16, 2009 at Maplewood Care Center in Streetsboro.
Born July 8, 1913 in Streetsboro to the late Warren and Jennie (Housel) E. Kimes, Mrs. Jahn was a former secretary and member of the Streetsboro United Methodist Church, past member of the Streetsboro Board of Education and involved with the Streetsboro Senior Center.
Mrs. Jahn enjoyed crocheting, completing craft activities and crossword puzzles, and playing cards.
Survivors include her daughters Janet Jahn-Ferrante of Streetsboro, Judi (Paul) Krieger of Rootstown, June (Ray) Woodrum of Streetsboro; 12 grandchildren; 22 great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband William and sister- and brother-in-law Helen and Joe Pesicek.
Funeral services took place April 20 at the Shorts-Spicer-Crislip Funeral Home's Streetsboro Chapel with the Rev. Byron George officiating.
Interment followed at Evergreen Cemetery in Streetsboro.
