Martha A. Coontz, 98, of Ravenna, died April 25 at Maple Wood Care Center in Streetsboro.
Born June 10, 1912 in Horton, W.Va. to the late George and Hattie (Conners) Embick, Mrs. Coontz has lived in Ravenna since 1957 and attended the First Church of God in Ravenna.
Survivors include her sons, Tom (Karolyn) Coontz of Ravenna, James (Barb) Embick of Florida, and Ray and Frank Coontz, both of Garrettsville; daughters Catheryn "Rosie" (James) Barnhart-Ravenna and Maureen (Johnny) McGraw of Warren; 11 grandchildren; numerous great-grandchildren; and several great-great-grandchildren.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Otto; son Sonnie; daughter Juanita; grandson Steven; brothers Carl and Raymond; and sister Rhoda.
Funeral services took place April 39 at Shorts-Spicer-Crislip Funeral Homes Ravenna Chapel with the Rev. Carl Holm officiating. Interment followed at Grandview Memorial Park in Ravenna.
