Area resident Jean Cimarelli (Melucci), 96, of Kent, died May 12, 2009 after a short illness. Born Jan. 18, 1913 in Kent to the late Antonio and Anna (Paialunga) Melucci, Mrs. Cimarelli was a member of St. Patrick's Church. She enjoyed spending time with her family and friends and enjoyed crocheting. Survivors include daughters, Edith (Joe) Wiencek of Streetsboro, Jennie (Jerry) Hurley of Munroe Falls, and Flora (Don) Wiley of Kent; eight grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, Joseph Cimarelli in 1969; sister Rose Giovangnoli; brother Deno Melucci; and infant sister, Louise Melucci. A Mass of Christian Burial took place May 16 at St. Patrick Church in Kent with the Rev. Fr. Richard Pentello officiating. Interment followed at Standing Rock Cemetery in Kent.
