Golf outing scheduled

in Mogadore

The Portage County FOP Lodge #70 Golf Outing is scheduled to take place June 19 at Paradise Lake Golf and Banquet Center, 1900 Randolph Rd. in Mogadore

The shotgun start is set for 10 a.m. Participants need to return sponsorship or team roster by June 6.

The cost is $65 per person for four-person teams. It includes 18 holes of golf and a cart, lunch and steak dinner after the event. Beverages also will be provided.

There will be contests and prizes on all par-3 holes along with longest drive, longest putt and closest to the hole.

A special hole-in-one contest prize will include a 24-month free lease on a 2009 Toyota vehicle provided by Don Joseph Toyota in Kent.

The winner must be 18, have a valid driver's license and must be the sole driver of the vehicle.

The Mantua-Shalersville Area Chamber of Commerce is scheduled to host a golf outing to raise funds for its scholarship program June 27 at Ravenswood Golf Course in Ravenna.

The program benefits Crestwood seniors. The cost is $65 per person with teams of four, which includes golf, a cart and a steak dinner.

Individuals not golfing can purchase a dinner at $15 each. Participants are eligible for prizes in various categories and door prizes, donated by local businesses. The registration deadline is June 9.

HandsOnSoccer is scheduled to have several camps during the summer.

The director is former professional goalkeeper Otto Orf.

Half-day and full-day options are available for boys and girls, ages 4-18. The half-day camp is $125 and the full-day camp is $185.
