The merchants at Liberty Corners Plaza hosted "Hats Off For Hattie" for the third year in a row June 6.
HoneyBaked Ham & Cafe Owner Steve Schwartz, who chaired the organizing committee, said he was pleased with the $7,500 the event raised for the Hattie Larlham Foundation.
"We raised the equivolent of the first and second year combined," he said, although he was hoping the event might have raised even more.
He said the committee purposely set the fundraising bar high, at $10,000.
Attendance at the June 6 event was lower than it's been in the past, he added. Just 325 attended this year.
Presale tickets, strong corporate sponsorship, and lots of Chinese auction items sold helped bolster revenue, he explained.
The organizing committee is going to meet to review the event and discuss next year's plans soon, said Schwartz.
