On May 27, the Streetsboro High School Class of 2009 graduated during a ceremony at the Akron Civic 

Theatre.

School Board President Denise Baba presented diplomas to 166 graduating seniors, 94 of whom will be embarking on post-secondary education experiences in the fall.

Speaking during the ceremony were Class of 2009 valedictorians Melissa Folan, Chad Trownson, Casey Braun and Matt Mechler, as well as Senior Class President Tom Gilmer, Superintendent Linda T. Keller, and Streetsboro High School Principal Michael Berner.

Providing entertainment were the Treble Ensemble and the Streetsboro High School Band.

At an academic awards ceremony in May, graduating seniors were awarded more than $1.1 million in grants and scholarship.
