Streetsboro United Methodist Church

* The church will offer a free community dinner each fourth Tuesday of the month at the church. The first free dinner was served in April 2008. That year, 1,127 meals were served. More than 1,166 meals have been served in 2009.

* Sunday worship services will take place at 9:15 and 10:30 a.m. Holy Communion will be taken each first Sunday of the month. Nursing care is available during services.

* Sunday school begins at 9:15 a.m. for all ages.

* The choir rehearses at 7 p.m. each Thursday.

* Office and sanctuary hours during the week are 9 a.m. to noon.

The church is located at 8940 Route 43.

Faith Baptist Church
of Streetsboro

* Each Sunday a variety of activities are offered at Faith Baptist Church. Bible School for children, middle school students, and high school students, along with Bible study for adults are offered at 9:30 a.m.

A worship service follows at 10:45 a.m., blending music, hymns and a sermon from the Rev. Don Workman. This fall, Workman is presenting a series of talks about the book of First John.

At 6 p.m. each Sunday, programming is offered for children, students and adults. Faith Baptist Church of Streetsboro and First Baptist Church of Aurora will combine their AWANA ministries at this time, meeting at the Streetsboro church.

* Bible study meetings also are offered at 7 p.m. each Wednesday and 11 a.m. each Thursday.

The Chapel
at Tinkers Creek

* Food pantry volunteers needed: The Streetsboro Community Pantry has collected enough food for Thanksgiving but needs volunteers. On Nov. 24 at 8:45 a.m., volunteers are needed to help assemble the food baskets for Thanksgiving at the Streetsboro United Methodist Church, 8940 Route 43. Items that continue to be most needed are paper products.

* Steps are taken each week as the church looks forward to moving into its own space. Demolition has begun. The church needs skilled and unskilled workers. Those interested in helping to remodel the new church building, fill out the volunteer survey located at the information table. * Worship Leader Andy Dolson is leading a three-week seminar on worship starting at the end of November. The seminar is designed to help the congregation work together better as a team, so everyone who helps in worship on Sunday mornings is invited. The church's philosophy of worship, members' individual roles, along with the practical details that go into each week will be discussed. Plan to meet at the church Nov. 19, Dec. 3, and Dec. 10.

* Dolson also is hosting a concert to celebrate his first ever full-length album titled "Eightynine." The concert is Nov. 13 at Musica in Akron, 51st East Market Street. Aurora Mennonite Church

A senior fellowship breakfast will be Nov. 14 at Golden Coral in Macedonia. A senior fellowship meeting will be Nov. 29 at 4 p.m. to share favorite Thanksgiving memories and dessert.

"Love and Respect" DVDs by Dr. Emerson Eggerichs will be shown Nov. 13 at 6:30 p.m. and Nov. 14 at 9 a.m. in the sanctuary. Snacks or food to share are appreciated.
