Donald V. Strayer, 77, of Streetsboro, died Nov. 30, 2009.
Born March 7, 1932 in Ravenna to the late Noel and Flossie (Miller) Strayer, Mr. Strayer was a member of St. Joan of Arc Church in Streetsboro and retired from RB & W in Kent where he was a machine operator.
Mr. Strayer is survived by his daughters Terri McKenna of Arkansas and Nancy Moore of Akron; sons Mark (Mary) of Florida, Robert (Aleyna) of Ravenna, Jeffrey (Sheila) of California and Gregory (Ann) of Ravenna; 11 grandchildren, three great-grandchildren; sisters Joann Schmidt of Suffield, Bonnie Marshall of Streetsboro, Sandy Hamner of Silver Lake, Jeri Bentley of Kent and Claudine Marks of Florida; and brothers Dennis of Suffield and Tom, Michael and Fred, all of Kent.
He was preceded in death by his wife Darlene in 1997 and brothers David, Jimmy and Robert Strayer.
Cremation has taken place, a Memorial mass will be at a later date. Memorials may be made to the Multiple Sclerosis Society, 6155 Rockside Road, Suite 202, Independence 44131. Arrangements are being handled by Shorts-Spicer-Crislip Funeral Home Streetsboro Chapel.
