One of the Parks and Recreation Department's featured programs is infant massage, which can be beneficial to both parents and babaies. One of the most important benefits is that it promotes a strong bond between parent and baby. When parents massage their babies, they develop attachments, which help parents feel more confident in their ability to understand their baby's needs. Benefits for the baby include better sleep, increased circulation and muscle tone, and relief from symptoms of colic. TThe course runs from March 1 to 22, meeting each Monday from 10 to 11 a.m. at City Hall. Teaching the course is Becky Walter. Cost for Streetsboro taxpayers is $60. Register by calling the Streetsboro Parks and Recreation Department at 330-626-3802 by Feb. 23.
