Kent -- More than 100 people gathered Jan. 30 at The Rusty Nail in Kent for a chamber fundraiser.

"The place was packed," said Streetsboro Area Chamber of Commerce Executive Director Meghan Urbon.

"A Night at the Races" was a fundraiser for the Streetsboro Area Chamber of Commerce and Kent Chamber of Commerce.

As of press time, Urbon said she hadn't counted the funds raised.

Chamber luncheon at Hampton Inn

The Streetsboro Area Chamber of Commerce will host its monthly luncheon Feb. 11 at the Hampton Inn, 800 Mondial Drive in Streetsboro.

The event begins at 11:30 a.m. with networking, followed by lunch at noon. Cost is $15 for members and $17 for others.

The speaker will be Dr. Ann Otto, who will speak on "Surviving Change in an Age of Instability." Downsizing, new leadership and a changing external environment are just a few challenges companies face in these turbulent times. Otto will help luncheon attendees better understand and adapt to change.
