Drew Carey to make his orchestra debut at Blossom Festival

Cleveland native Drew Carey will draw on his skills as an actor and comedian when he makes his debut with The Cleveland Orchestra as narrator in a performance of Felix Mendelssohn's Incidental Music to A Midsummer Night's Dream at the Blossom Festival on July 26.

The concert is part of the nine-week 2008 Blossom Festival, which runs from July 3 through Aug. 31 at Blossom Music Center, the summer home of The Cleveland Orchestra.

Soprano Mary Wilson also will make her Cleveland Orchestra debut at the July 26 concert, as a soloist in Mendelssohn's Incidental Music to A Midsummer Night's Dream.

Subscription packages range from $84 to $148. Box-seat packages are priced at $268 and include free reserved parking in FirstEnergy Lot A and Kulas Plaza access. Individual concert Pavilion tickets range in price from $22 to $47. Lawn tickets for all Blossom Festival concerts are priced at $20 or $22. Individual tickets go on sale by telephone, in person at the Severance Hall ticket office, and online at clevelandorchestra.com starting May 27. The Blossom Box Office opens for the season on May 30, and will be open throughout the summer on Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays from 1 to 5 p.m. and through intermission on concert nights.

Lawn ticket books, priced at $130 for 10 lawn admissions to any Blossom Festival performance, are available now. This package is available through the Cleveland Orchestra ticket office.
