Marion Hartung, 92, of Ravenna went to be with the Lord on Dec. 6, joining her husband in Heaven for their 63rd anniversary on Dec. 7.
Mrs. Hartung was born in Pittsburgh, Pa. and was a resident of Streetsboro and Ravenna since 1964.
She worked for Davey Tree, Kent State University and Allen Aircraft before her retirement. She was a member of Streetsboro United Methodist Church which she attended regularly. In her retirement, she enjoyed tole painting, attending craft shows and spending time with her friends. Most of all, she enjoyed spending time with her family.
Mrs. Hartung is survived by her son Bill Jr. (Mary Beth); daughter Marilyn McLat (Luis); grandsons Brandon Ruyten (Mary), Andy Laflame (Charlotte), Josiah McLat, Jairus McLat, Joel McLat and Victor McLat; grand-daughters Amaris McLat, Miranda McLat (Pedro), and Havelah McLat; and great-grandchildren Adam Ruyten, Andrew LaFlame and Danielle LaFlame.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, William Hartung Sr., who died Feb. 4, 2012, and two sisters and one brother.
A funeral service, officiated by the Rev. Byron George, was set to take place Dec. 11 at Shorts-Spicer-Crislip Funeral Home's Streetsboro Chapel. Interment followed the service at Maple Grove Cemetery.
