Veterans of Foreign Wars Auxiliary Post No. 1055 member

Rose A. Kelly, 90, of Ravenna, formerly of Streetsboro, died Feb. 4, 2013 at Brookside Assisted Living with her family by her side.

Born Dec. 19, 1922 in Bedford to the late Imre and Rose (Brginski) Balogh, Mrs. Kelly was a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars Ladies Auxiliary Post No. 1055 in Ravenna. She worked in the kitchen for Sycamore Hills Children's Psychiatric Hospital.

She is survived by her sons, Allen (Sally) Kelly of Ravenna, Thomas (Amy) Kelly of Streetsboro and Dale (Wendy) Kelly of Shalersville; seven grandchildren Stephanie, Gregory, Dale, John, Robert, Megan and Brandon; six great-grandchildren Anichka, Connor, Bradley, Mollie, and Summer; sisters Betty Maslar of Garfield Heights, Julie Sellers of Dallas and Elsie Vieth of Phoenix; brothers Don Balogh of Northfield and Zigmond Balogh of Ocean City, Calif.

In addition to her parents, Mrs. Kelly was preceded in death by her husband, Glenn T. Kelly; sisters Irene and Mary; and brothers Charles and George.

A funeral service took place Feb. 7 at Shorts Spicer Crislip Funeral Home. Interment followed at Grandview Memorial Park.
