James H. Myers, 77, of Ravenna, died Sept. 12, 2013, at Robinson Memorial Hospital.
Mr. Myers was born March 27, 1936 in Coal Creek, Tenn., to the late William M. and Carrie Lou (Cardin) Myers.
He worked as an equipment operator at Crucible Steel in Streetsboro for 33 years. He was a Mason, belonging to Parkside Lodge 0736 in Brooklyn. He also was a member of the Ravenna and Streetsboro Eagles, and the Streetsboro Veterans of Foreign Wars No. 9716. In addition to his parents, Mr. Myers was preceded in death by his brothers Bill and Charles Myers. He was survived by his companion, Cathleen Finch; children James H. (Paula) Myers Jr. of Aurora, Sandra (Carl) Demio of Brooklyn, Amber L. (Nick) Myers Buleski of Streetsboro and Autumn Myers of Ravenna; brother Joe (Sue) Myers of Tennessee; seven grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren Jackson, Dylan, Chloe and Bentley.
A Masonic service was Sept. 15 at Wood-Kortright-Borkoski Funeral Home in Ravenna followed by a funeral service officiated by the Rev. David Ballert. Interment followed at Grandview Memorial Park in Ravenna.
