Madonna "Donna" Rickard, 65, died Sept. 14, 2013, in Harpers Ferry, W.Va.
She was born in Cleveland on Dec. 24, 1947 to the late Barney and Noreen (Morgan) Cooper Sr.
A resident of Shalersville the past 37 years, Mrs. Rickard had been employed in customer service at both Evenflo and Alltel for several years.
She enjoyed flowers, watching TV shows "Law & Order" and "NCIS," and adding to her large doll collection along with spending time with her children and grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, siblings Walter Cooper and Sandra Rose, and grandson Joseph Davis.
Mrs. Rickard is survived by husband Travis L. Rickard, whom she married on May 31, 1974; children Bruce (Pam) Davis of Harpers Ferry, Brian (Melissa) Davis of Manassas, Va., Matthew (Janet) Davis of Rawlings, Md., and Marcia (Ron) Fonseca of Englewood, Fla.; brothers Barney (Sandy) Cooper Jr. of Florida, Herman (Shirley) Cooper and Harry (Kathy) Cooper, both of Streetsboro; sisters Martha Coady of Pennsylvania, Jean (Eugene) Pfendler of Florida and Frances (Clarence) Phillips of Arkansas; seven grandchildren; one great-grandchild; and her dog, Heidi.
A funeral service was Sept. 19 at the Green Family Funeral Home & Crematory Service in Mantua. Cremation followed, and she was given a private family burial at Riverside Cemetery in Shalersville Township.
