Raymond R. Beck, 89, of Charlestown, died Sept. 20, 2013.
He was born Oct. 20, 1923 in Galion to Ralph Paul and Mary (Bishop) Beck.
Formerly of Galion, he lived in Charlestown for 44 years and had been a truck driver for F.J. Egner and Coastal Tank Lines. He was a member of Charlestown United Methodist Church and the Ravenna Moose Lodge No. 1234.
Mr. Beck was preceded in death by his parents, sister Florence McColly and brother Paul Beck.
He was survived by his wife of 25 years Connie (White); daughters Mary Jo (Scott) Fleishman of North Canton; Deborah (Carl Dorsey) Speegle of Ravenna, and Sharon Reedy of Streetsboro; sons Robert of Streetsboro, James (Lynn) of Solon, Randy (Pam) of Painesville and Richard (Karen) of Strongsville; 17 grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren, sister Evelyn Cochran of Edison; and brothers Dale, Wayne and Donald, all of Galion.
Funeral services took place Sept. 27 at Shorts Spicer Crislip Funeral Home Ravenna Chapel with the Rev.s Vernon White and Greg Hogan officiating. Burial was in Charlestown Cemetery in Charlestown Township.
