Majorettes advisor for Streetsboro schools
Margaret Sopcak, 60, of Streetsboro, died Dec. 15, 2013, at her home.
She was born March 21, 1953 to Gerald A. and Shirley May (Johnson) Luke.
Mrs. Sopcak was an advisor of the majorettes and flag corp at Streetsboro Schools. She was a lifelong member of the Sweet Adeline's singing group. She enjoyed softball, tennis and riding motorcycles.
She was preceded in death by her father, Gerald Luke.
She is survived by her husband of 37 years, Richard M. Sopcak; mother Shirley May Luke of Streetsboro; sister Carol (Mike) Mentor of Sycamore Hills; brother Gerald (Cheryl) Luke of Newton Falls; nephew Kyle Luke; sisters-in-law Barb (Bernie) Pursley of Ellington, Conn., and Theresa (Ray) Rowh of Norton; and several nieces and nephews.
Calling hours will be Dec. 18 from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. at the Shorts Spicer Crislip Funeral Home, Streetsboro Chapel. A funeral service will be Dec. 19 at 11 a.m. at the funeral home with the Rev. Don Howell officiating. Burial will follow in Evergreen Cemetery.
