Everett Boggs, 87 of Middlefield, died April 13, 2014, at the Geauga Medical Center in Chardon.
He was born March 4, 1927 in Fairmont, W. Va., to the late Everett E. and Elizabeth (Matthews) Boggs.
Mr. Boggs was a veteran of the U.S. Marines serving in World War II and had retired from Jones Motor Freight in Akron, where he worked as a truck driver.
He had lived in Middlefield the past five years and was formerly of Streetsboro. He was a member of the Bethel Baptist Church in Ravenna. As an avid outdoorsman, Mr. Boggs enjoyed deer hunting and fishing.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by sons Ernie Boggs and Butch Edmiston, seven brothers and three sisters.
Survivors include his wife of 37 years, Marvel V. (Brady) Boggs; children Jeffery Boggs of Tucson, Ariz., Frank (Pam) Sieneski of Akron, Diane (Franz) Hansell of Burton and Brenda Gauvin of Middlefield; eight grandchildren; two great-grandchildren, two great-great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
Private family services have taken place.
