Harold E. "Harry" Ruediger, 77, of Streetsboro, died June 4, 2014, at Maplewood Care Center.

He was born Aug. 6, 1936 in Bradford, Pa., to the late Russell and Fern (Fisk) Ruediger.

Mr. Ruediger served in the U.S. Air Force and worked for LTV/Republic Steel as a chief dispatcher until he retired. He was a member of St. Joan of Arc Church, enjoyed bowling and jigsaw puzzles and was a Cleveland Indians fan.

Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by brother Raymond Ruediger.

He is survived by daughter Amy (Eric) Howard; sons Mark Ruediger and City Council member John Ruediger, all of Streetsboro; granddaughters Erica and Alexis; grandsons Michael, Oliver and Jacob; and sisters Beatrice Konyecsni of Ravenna and Rosemarie Bobinko of Pennsylvania.

Calling hours were June 8 at the Shorts Spice Crislip Funeral Home, Streetsboro Chapel. A memorial Mass was June 9 at St. Joan of Arc Catholic Church. Burial followed in Evergreen Cemetery.
