Glen R. Harris, 87, of New Concord, formerly of Moundsville, W. Va., died June 20, 2014, at Cedar Hill Care Center, Zanesville.

He was born July 30, 1926 to James R. and Mary Horner Harris.

He was a former Church of Christ minister.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his first wife, Helen Alley Harris; and a son, David Ray Harris.

Survivors include his wife, Mary Roe Shepherd Harris; sons Dick (Sharon) Harris of New Concord, Steve (Denise) Harris of Woodsfield, Brent (Pamela) Harris of Ft. Worth, Texas, and John (Vikki) Harris of Streetsboro; daughters Lois (Roger) Sivard of Graysville and Susan (Richard) Simons of East Rochester; daughter-in-law Deanna (Steve) Miller of Charlotte, N.C.; step-children Barbara (Don) Hartley of Quaker City, Nancy (Craig) Herwick, Sue (Brent) Fisher and Lynn (Dave) Barr, all of Barnesville, and Greg Shepherd of Old Washington; brother H. Paul Harris of Moundsville; sister Mary (Harlan) Wood of Jonesboro, Ark.; 20 grandchildren; 31 great-grandchildren; eight great-great grandchildren; five step-grandchildren; four step-great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.

The family received friends June 23 at Grisell Funeral Home & Crematory in Moundsville, where funeral services were June 24. Burial was in Salem Cemetery in Glen Easton, W. Va. Memorial contributions may be made to a person's local Church of Christ.
