Nurse touts merits of parks for health

Published:

As a nurse, I am

very concerned about people's health. Establishing healthy exercise habits in our children is so important, and they can benefit from parks their entire lives.  Exercise in older adults is equally important to maintain strong bones, healthy weight and flexible joints. Our Portage County Parks are great places for people of all ages to exercise together.  Parents can spend time with their kids and instill the importance and fun of regular exercise. Seniors can enjoy a hike through our lovely parks. For only $17.50 (less than $1.50 per month), we can put that money toward further developing and maintaining our parks. Won't you please join us and vote "For" Issue 10 on May 6?
