Streetsboro woman charged: A 34-year-old Streetsboro woman was charged with operating a vehicle while under the influence Nov. 2 at 9:11 p.m. on Route 43 at Kennedy Road. Police said they stopped the vehicle for speeding. The report did not indicate how fast the vehicle was traveling. Police said they detected a strong odor of alcohol on the woman, whose 10-year-old daughter was a passenger in the car. Police said the woman failed a field sobriety test, and her blood-alcohol count was .113, over the legal limit of .08. She was charged with OVI, speeding and child endangerment.

Alliance man charged: A 45-year-old Alliance man was charged with operating a vehicle while under the influence Nov. 4 at 10:09 p.m. on Route 14. Police said they stopped the vehicle because it was not traveling inside the road lines. The driver smelled like alcoholic beverages, police said. The driver failed field sobriety tests, according to police, but no blood-alcohol count was listed on the report.

Solon man charged: A 21-year-old Solon man was charged with operating a vehicle while under the influence Nov. 6 at 12:57 a.m. on Route 43. Police said the vehicle was stopped because it was traveling 59 mph in a 40 mph zone. The man was found to have been consuming alcoholic beverages, according to police, but the report did not indicate why police suspected that. Police said the man failed field sobriety tests, and his blood-alcohol count was .151, over the legal limit of .08. He was charged with OVI and speeding.

Streetsboro man charged: A 35-year-old Streetsboro man was charged with theft Oct. 30 at 3:33 p.m. after police said he tried to steal a $124 GPS navigational device and two bags of dog food worth a total of $39 from a Singletary Drive business. Store security personnel reported the alleged theft and detained the man until police arrived.

n Merchandise taken: A man tried to steal numerous items Nov. 1 at 11:47 p.m. from a Singletary Drive business, according to police. The suspect got away, but the merchandise was left behind including a duffel bag, a box of nine golf balls, a night vision trail camera, a child's car seat, a pillow and miscellaneous clothing. The report did not list the value of the items. The alleged theft was reported by the store's loss prevention personnel. Police are investigating.


Streetsboro man charged: A 19-year-old Streetsboro man was arrested after police said he had an undisclosed arrest warrant through the Trumbull County Sheriff's Office. The car was stopped Nov. 1 at 2:37 p.m. on Route 14 after police checked the license plate number and determined the man had an arrest warrant. A Trumbull County sheriff's deputy took custody of the man.


Political signs in yard: A Meldon Drive woman reported Nov. 3 at 11:01 a.m. that someone piled up political signs in her front yard near the roadway. The woman reported the signs were originally in her neighbor's yard but said someone threw them in her yard.
