Junior Achievement's online auction supports financial literacy

Published:

Through Nov. 29 Northeast Ohio residents have the opportunity to support financial literacy programs in the schools while also getting a little holiday shopping done for themselves or their loved ones.

The Junior Achievement Online Holiday Auction will run through Nov. 29 at 9 p.m. The event includes gift cards, spa packages, sports tickets, fun family activities and more. To check out the auction items, visit www.biddingforgood.com./juniorachievement.

The proceeds raised from the Junior Achievement Online Holiday Auction will help benefit more than 43,000 elementary, middle and high school students in Northeast Ohio, including students at Henry Defer Intermediate School. Junior Achievement strengthens the community by providing local students with the knowledge and skills necessary for them to succeed in work and life. The hands-on JA programs taught by business and community volunteers introduce students to key concepts about how businesses work, career planning, job interviewing skills, budgeting, savings, credit card risks and entrepreneurial skills.
