NEOMED hosts STEM high school

Bio-Med Science Academy, a year-round public high school located on the campus of Northeast Ohio Medical University (NEOMED), has scheduled information sessions for students and parents who wish to learn more about the school’s unique features and fall 2013 admission procedures for incoming freshman. Information sessions will take place in Meshel Hall on the NEOMED campus in Rootstown and will take place Dec. 8 at 10 a.m., Dec. 11 at 7 p.m., Dec. 15 at 10 a.m., Dec. 20 at 7 p.m. and Jan. 7 at 7 p.m.

Bio-Med Science Academy is a tuition-free public STEM+M (Science, Technology, Engineering, Math and Medicine) academy open to any student in Ohio, but was developed to serve students primarily from rural communities in Portage County and other surrounding counties. The Academy offers an innovative and progressive learning environment that cultivates academic excellence and rigor in the STEM+M disciplines while nurturing creativity, inventiveness and community in its students.
