Wedding: Gotschall-Marshall

The wedding of Erica Laurel Gotschall and Stephen James Marshall took place Sept. 2 at the Grand Pacific Wedding Chapel in Olmsted Falls with Dr. John Mills officiating.

Parents of the newlyweds are Kevin (deceased) and Margaret Gotschall of Streetsboro and Paula Schuetz and Jeff Marshall.

Earl Haug, organist, provided music for the ceremony.

Kyle Gotschall, the bride's brother, escorted her down the aisle. Carrying purple, green and ivory hydrangeas, intermixed with pink roses, she wore an ivory, all lace, A-line dress. Pearls were sewn in throughout the gown, which featured a cathedral veil and chapel train.

Serving as maid of honor was Stephanie Gotschall, sister of the bride, and the flower girl was the groom's sister, Danica Marshall. Bridesmaids included Grace Gotschall of Streetsboro, sister of the bride; Emily Schuetz of Berea, sister of the groom; and Jessica Smith of Olmsted Falls, a friend of the bride and groom.

Serving as best man was Christopher McDade of Lakewood, a friend of the groom. Other groomsmen included Eric Schlitter of Olmsted Falls, friend of the groom; Dave McDonald of Bay Village, friend of the groom; Thomas Marshall of Strongsville, the groom's brother; and Kyle Gotschall.

A reception took place following the wedding ceremony at SpringVale Ballroom in North Olmsted.

Special guests included Philip Stern of Dellroy, the bride's grandfather; Helen Manfull of State College, Pa., great-aunt of the bride; RoseMarie Marshall of Erie, Pa., the groom's grandmother; James and Barbera Gwinn of Erie, Pa., grandparents of the groom; and John and Roberta Schuetz of Olmsted Falls, grandparents of the groom.

The bride graduated from Streetsboro High School in 2003 and Kent State University in 2007. She now works as a teacher at Henry Defer Intermediate School in Streetsboro.

The groom graduated from St. Ignatius High School in 2002 and the University of Toledo in 2007. He now works for Brewer-Garrettt Co. in Middleburgh Heights.

The couple plans a cruise to the eastern Caribbean Sea this month.
