Robert and Patricia (Herman) Giunto celebrated 50 years together June 22 with a renewal of their vows at St. Joan of Arc Church in a ceremony officiated by the Rev. Fr. Pat Ferraro. The celebration continued with a dinner, a retrospective video of the couple's 50 years together and an evening of dancing and good company.
The party was organized and hosted by their children and attended by more than 100 people.
Robert and Patricia Giunto were married June 15, 1963 at St. Pius X Catholic Church in Bedford.
Robert spend 15 years as a meat cutter and meat manager for A&P and Bi-Rite. He later became a meat merchandiser for Seway and finally Giant Eagle, retiring in 2005.
Patricia was a cashier at Kresse Bi-Rite for eight years. She spend much of her life raising her children and helping care for her grandchildren. She's been an active member of the Sweet Adelines Barbershop Choruses for more than 30 years, participating in four different quartets.
Since their wedding 50 years ago, Robert and Patricia's family has grown to include their children Sheryl and Steve Keba of Streetsboro; Teresa Heidish of Winter Springs, Fla.; Tina and Dean Wagner of Stow; and Steven and Jean Giunto of Streetsboro. Their grandchildren are Joe, Chris, Zack, Dylan and Nick Keba; Summer Heidish; Jake and Abby Wagner; and Nate, Brandon and Aly Giunto.
