Pesiceks celebrate Valentine's Day golden anniversary

Published:

Ronald and Sylvia Pesicek marked their 50th wedding anniversary on Feb. 14.

In 1958, Ronald and Sylvia "Pat" started dating during their high school years. They attended four proms together, two at his alma mater, Crestwood High School, and two at hers, Theodore Roosevelt High School in Kent.

They were married on Feb. 14, 1964. Ronald stood with his best man Roy Sladky, and groomsmen Gene Wilcox, Bob LaRoche and Dale Pesicek. Pat stood with two sisters, the maid of honor Gwendolyn Wilcox and bridesmaid Shirley Wilcox.

Afterward, they drove to Niagara Falls for a honeymoon weekend.

They started their family in 1965, and by 1971 had four sons: Michael, Stephen, Todd, and Christopher.

In October 1978, Ron and Pat moved the family of six from Streetsboro to Wooster and the boys entered the Triway School District. Ron spent two and a half years with the Addressograph-Multigraph Corp., then a career change led to sales work for Nelson Industrial Supply (now ALCO). He also managed Supreme Floor Care.

In 1980, Pat started with Hawkins Market, and from 1998 on with Walmart. Neither are retired, and both enjoy their work.

They devote time to watching their grandchildren take part in activities, visiting with friends and relatives and camping.

They will celebrate the occasion at a dinner party hosted by their four sons and niece.
