Kimberly Rae Fairchild and Jacob Michael Whitmore exchanged wedding vows June 21 at the Norton Apostolic Christian Church in Norton.
The Rev. Gary Webel was the officiant and ceremony music was provided by Justin Noland.
The wedding followed a color theme of meadow green, ivory and black.
Parents of the bride are Ron and Sheli Fairchild of Lexington. The groom is the son of Michael and Tina Whitmore of Ravenna.
Escorted by her father, the bride was attired in an ivory gown featuring shimmering organza layered with lace accents and a sweeping train. She carried a bouquet of ivory roses and hydrangea.
Maid of honor for her sister was Kara Fairchild of Lexington. Quinn Getz, niece of the bride, was the flower girl. Also attending the bride was Martha Whitmore of Ravenna, the groom's sister.
Anthony Kaylor of Painesville served as the best man. Groomsman was Christian Stewart of Toledo. Ushers were cousin of the groom Caleb Whitmore of Ravenna, Kyle Schumacher of Kent, and Tim Webel of Wadsworth.
A reception was held immediately following the ceremony at Barberton Brookside Country Club in Norton. Friends and family arrived from all over Ohio, Pennsylvania, Indiana, Nebraska and Virginia.
The new Mrs. Whitmore is a 2007 graduate of Lexington High School. She earned her bachelor's degree in 2011 from Kent State University in educational interpreting and her master's degree in 2013 from KSU as an intervention specialist with a concentration in deaf education. She is currently a kindergarten/first grade deaf/hard of hearing teacher at Ritzman CRC for Akron Public Schools.
Her husband is a 2010 graduate of Ravenna High School and is pursuing a bachelor's degree in integrated language arts education at KSU. He is employed with the financial aid office at KSU.
Following a wedding trip to Gatlinburg, Tenn., the couple are at home in Akron.
