Saucier honored

Streetsboro resident Johnathan Saucier, a senior on the Western Reserve Academy football team, was named the team's Most Valuable Player during the team's recent awards banquet.

Saucier had 64 receptions for 1,100 yards and nine touchdowns.

"Johnny is a very talented defensive back and wide receiver," Pioneers head football coach Jeff Hildebrand said. "His performance against Linsly, in which he had 291 receiving yards, places him in ninth place in Ohio's high school record books for most receiving yards in one game.

"Johnny also led the nation in as a prep school wide receiver and ranked in the top 50 in the United States in yards at his position."
