Streetsboro duo to play football in college


Two Streetsboro senior football players officially decided to continue their careers on the collegiate level Feb. 6.

Running back Dorian Williams signed a letter of interest to play at Princeton University. Linebacker Brandon Gency signed a letter of intent to play at Ashland University.


The Streetsboro girls basketball team fell to 4-15 overall and 2-11 in the Portage Trail Conference Metro Division rival Norton Feb. 6 on the road.

The Rockets did not score more than nine points in any quarter. Norton (15-6, 12-1) outscored Streetsboro 21-7 in the fourth quarter.

Norton’s Cara Cook led all scorers with 21 points. She also had 10 rebounds and five assists.

Megan Densmore had 11 points for the Rockets and teammate Marra Woods added eight points.

Norton also scored a 30-27 win in the junior varsity contest.
