Staff report

Streetsboro senior Dorian Williams signed a national letter of interest Feb. 6 to continue his academic and football careers at Princeton University (N.J.).

Williams, a first-team All-Ohio defensive back, had 72 tackles, including eight for a loss, six interceptions, three pass breakups, three forced fumbles and two sacks in 2012 to lead the Rockets to their first playoff appearance in 20 years.

Williams also was the team's starting tailback.

He finished with 2,221 yards and 27 touchdowns in 2012 and scored 52 TDs during his career.

Williams also earned first-team All-Portage Trail Conference honors in 2011 and 2012 and was the Northeast Inland Division IV Defensive Player of the year in 2012.

He recently was named to the Ohio High School Football Coaches Association North/South All Star Game.

Williams chose Princeton over the Air Force Academy (Colo.), Yale University (Conn.) and Youngstown State University.
