The Streetsboro girls cross country team placed 15th overall with 409 points at the 18-team Ashley White-Stumpf Invitational Aug. 31 at Marlington High School in Alliance.
The White-Stumpf Invitational includes a host of Portage Trail Conference schools as the Rockets placed ninth overall in the Division II team standings.
Overall, Canton GlenOak won the competition with 55 points and Crestwood (66) and Carrollton (125) finished second and third, respectively.
Junior Meghan Westerh lead the Rockets with a 48th-place clocking of 22:23.2 at Marlington.
Also competing for Streetsboro were senior Dana Bindus (87th, 23:54.8), junior Madison Westerh (105th, 24:32.6), seniors Megan Melice (129th, 25:38.1) and Madison Gilliland (177th, 27:19.2), Micaihia Longo (208th, 28:41) and freshman Rachel Woods (209th, 28:44).
Streetsboro also placed fourth overall in the Aug. 28 East Canton Invitational.
The Rockets, who won last year's crown, were competitive in the ninth annual meet.
Massillon Tuslaw won the team crown 69-84 over East Canton, while Louisville was third (118) and Streetsboro was fourth at 120 points. The Rockets placed ahead of a solid Garfield Heights Trinity club (123) and Canton South (165).
United Local's Allison Parks placed first out of 128 runners with a time of 20:40. She won the race for the second year in a row.
Bindus had a strong race as she was timed at 22:48 to finish 10th overall, edging Meghan Westerh (22:51). Madison Westerh was 15th (23:02).
