Streetsboro boys basketball team gets past Southeast


The Streetsboro boys basketball team improved to 3-0 overall and 2-0 in the Portage Trail Conference County Division after earning a 45-42 victory over Southeast Dec. 10 in Ravenna.

The game was tied at 20 at halftime.

Paul Jenkins led the Rockets with 17 points and Jerry Judd added 12 points. Streetsboro finished just 6 of 13 from the free throw line.

Jordan Krych had a game-high 19 points for the Pirates, who finished with just five turnovers. Southeast was 9 of 10 from the foul line.

The Rockets, who committed 14 turnovers, had a 24-18 edge on the glass.

Streetsboro earned a convincing 60-38 win in the junior varsity contest. Bobby Dixon led the Rockets with 15 points.
