Ravenna holds off Streetsboro boys hoops team

The host Streetsboro boys basketball team lost a 62-58 decision to Portage Trail Conference rival Ravenna Jan. 21.

With the loss, the Rockets fell to 9-5 overall. The Ravens improved to 9-5.

Ravenna made just 23 of 40 shots from the foul line, but the Ravens made free throws when they needed them most.

Ravenna converted 10 of 14 foul shots in the overtime period.

Danny Miller made all six of his free throw attempts in the final 28.4 seconds of the game. He finished with a team-high 19 points.

Streetsboro, on the other hand, made just 2 of 14 field goals in the four-minute overtime period.

Daniel Sapp led the Rockets with a game-high 31 points to go along with 16 rebounds.

Reggie Dublin added 13 for Streetsboro, which posted a 66-53 win in the junior varsity contest.

Ricky Delambo led the way with 19 points for the Rockets in the JV game.
