The Streetsboro bowling teams' season ended at the Summit/Stark/Portage Division II sectional tournament Feb. 8 at 77 Colonial Lanes in North Canton.
The girls finished fifth with a score of 2,739 and the boys captured eighth (3,286).
The top four teams and the top four individuals not on qualifying teams qualified for the district competition.
James A. Garfield won the girls' competition with a score of 3,248.
Rounding out the top four were Crestwood (2,993), Alliance (2,907) and Cuyahoga Valley Christian Academy (2,822).
Wooster Triway won the boys' competition with a score of 3,891.
Also advancing were Crestwood (3,838), Woodridge (3,651) and Akron St. Vincent-St. Mary (3,662).
Lilly James led the Rockets with a two-game total of 434, who missed advancing by one pin.
Also faring well for the Rockets were Alexa Brace (431) and Becca Fleming (408).
Tyler Fleming (538) and Donovan Booker (512) led the Streetsboro boys.
Both teams fell to Portage Trail Conference County Division rival Crestwood Feb. 5 at Kent Lanes.
The boys lost a 1,940-1,925 decision. Tyler Fleming led the Rockets with games of 235 and 171, respectively.
Casey Brace was next with scores of 151 and 176.
The girls lost an 1,894-1,850 decision.
Becca Fleming led Streetsboro with scores of 177 and 160.
Also faring well for the Rockets were Alexa Brace (133 and 168) and James (157 and 133). Both teams finished with two wins this season.
"The coaching staff is very excited with the results and returning members next season," Streetsboro head coach Frank Diehl said.
"The coaches would like to thank the senior members for their hard work, dedication and leadership. We would like to encourage anyone interested to come out next year and be part of the fun and success."
