Streetsboro girls track and field team places third in Aurora

The Streetsboro girls track and field team finished third with 71.5 points at the eight-team Aurora Invitational April 17.

Crestwood won the competition with 93 points and Ravenna placed second with 74 points.

Destiny King broke her own meet record with a first-place time of 15.74 seconds in the 100-meter hurdles.

She also tied the meet record with a first-place leap of 16 feet, 6 inches in the long jump.

Marra Woods won the 200 (27.48) and the high jump (5-3).

Also placing in the top six for the Rockets are as follows:

• 100: Savannah Nevels, third, 13.74; and Delisha McMiller, fifth, 13.92

• 200: Nevels, sixth, 28.07

• 400 relay: King, McMiller, Kailyn Williams and Woods, first, 51.58

• 800 relay: Williams, McMiller, Nevels and Woods, first, 1:50.23

• 3,200 relay: Ewelina Siwik, Madison Westerh, Dana Bindus and Megan Melice, fifth, 11:45.45

• Shot put: Autumn Meek, tied for sixth, 29-8
