Rosati honored

Streetsboro resident Andrew Rosati, a sophomore on the University of Mount Union (Alliance) men's lacrosse team, recently was named Ohio Athletic Conference Men's Lacrosse Defensive Player of Week.

He led the Purple Raiders to two wins last week -- a 12-4 win over Franciscan University (Steubenville) and a 9-1 win over Capital University (Bexley) in the first-ever OAC men's lacrosse game.

Rosati converted 12 of 17 face-offs over the two games. For the year, Rosati has converted a team-best 56.3-percent of his faceoffs.

Rosati is a double business major and is studying business management and marketing.

Myers fares well

Streetsboro resident Steve Myers, 51, placed second in the male 50-to-54 age group and 14th overall with a time of 20 minutes, 37 seconds in the Jog into Spring 5K race April 5 in Independence.
