Streetsboro baseball team routs Rittman at Canal Park (WITH VIDEO)


The Streetsboro baseball team rolled to a 16-1 victory over Rittman May 3 at Canal Park in Akron.

The game was called after six innings due to the 10-run mercy rule.

The Rockets (6-8) finished with eight hits and took advantage of four Rittman errors.

Streetsboro scored eight runs in the fourth inning and seven runs in the sixth inning to take control.

Austin Szemacs got the win on the mound to improve to 2-1 on the season. He also had a solo home run and scored three runs at the plate.

Gage Simpkins had a double, three runs scored and two runs batted in and Alex Bison had a double, two RBIs and a run scored for the Rockets.
