Rockets beat

Woodridge in finale

The Streetsboro softball team ended the season on a winning note.

The host Rockets earned their first victory in the Portage Trail Conference County Division after posting a 9-4 victory over Woodridge May 20.

Host Streetsboro also lost an 8-1 decision to County Division rival Waterloo May 19. As a result, the Rockets finished 4-14 overall and 1-11 in the County Division.

Against the Lady Bulldogs, Makenzie Dombrowski got the win in the circle. She allowed five hits in seven innings of work.

Streetsboro, which led 8-1 after four innings, finished with 15 hits and no errors.

Jenna Oravec had four hits, three runs scored and a stolen base to lead the Rockets. Auliah Kendall smacked a double, two singles and scored two runs and drove in four runs.

Kristen MacMillan had two doubles and four runs batted in and Corrine Braynard added a double and two runs.

Against the Lady Vikings, Streetsboro took a 1-0 lead in the bottom of the first before Waterloo rallied.

The Rockets finished with three hits and one error, while the Lady Vikings had 10 hits and two errors.
