The Streetsboro girls track and field team had two points and was in a three-way tie for 18th place after the first day of the 23-team Division II state meet June 6 at Jesse Owens Memorial Stadium.
Senior Marra Woods scored both points after placing seventh in the high jump with a leap of 5 feet, 2 inches.
Destiny King did not qualify for finals in the 100-meter hurdles.
Dakari Carter advanced to the finals in the 100- and 200-meter dashes.
Carter also joined Victor Glass, Parris Burton and Prince Franklin on the 13th-place 400 relay team, which finished with a time of 44.26 seconds.
The 800 relay team of Myron Jones, Carter, Franklin and Daniel Sapp qualified for finals.
Cuyahoga Valley Christian Academy had two Streetsboro residents qualifiy for finals.
Lydia Carroscia helped the 1,600 relay advance and Evan Carroscia qualified in the 110 hurdles, 300 hurdles and as a member of the 1,600 relay.
The CVCA boys were in a four-way tie for second place with 10 points after the first day of competition.
