Streetsboro girls soccer team falls to Southeast

The host Streetsboro girls soccer team fell to 1-2 overall and 0-1 in the Portage Trail Conference County Division after losing a 6-2 decision to Southeast Aug. 28 at Glinatsis Stadium.

Emily Burke had four goals to lead the Pirates, who had a 3-1 lead at halftime.

Auliah Kendall and Alison Targosky each scored once for the Rockets.

Southeast had a 16-9 advantage in shots on goal and a 6-4 edge in corner kicks.

Streetsboro's contest with Woodridge was halted with 26 minutes, 18 seconds left in the first half because of lightning. The game was scoreless when play was stopped.

The game is scheduled to be resumed Oct. 4 at 9 a.m., according to Lady Bulldogs head coach Jason Allenspach.

The Rockets were scheduled to host County Division rival James A. Garfield Sept. 2. Results were not available at press time.

They are set to entertain PTC foe Field Sept. 4 at 7 p.m.

They are scheduled to visit Canton McKinley Sept. 9. A starting time was not available at press time.
