Christmas tree auction Nov. 18 n St. Joan of Arc Parish is planning a "Silent Christmas Tree Auction and Pasta Dinner" Nov. 18 from 4 to 7 p.m. at the church, 8894 Route 14. There will be 10 trees elaborately decorated by different church committees which will be auctioned off. Attendees are asked to bring a dish to share. Those whose last initial begins with A-K are asked to bring an appetizer; those with last initials L-O are asked to bring a side dish; and those with a last initial of P-Z are asked to bring a dessert. Chapel offers adult Bible groups n There are three adult Bible fellowship groups offered at the Chapel at Tinkers Creek, which is located at 9709 Page Road. Studying God's Story is aimed at a variety of age groups, from those in their 20s on up. The group is led by Gary Pease, firstname.lastname@example.org, and Dave McVay, email@example.com. Seasons of Adult Life Transitions is geared toward young adults and newlyweds and is led by John and Megan Grimm, firstname.lastname@example.org. Both of those groups meet from 9:30 to 10:15 a.m. each Sunday. Women's Ministry meets at two times each Monday at the church, 12:30 p.m. or 7 p.m. The Rev. Dave McClellan leads a Men's Ministry group which meets at Aurora's Starbucks each Monday at 4 p.m. Every fourth Saturday of the month, the group has breakfast at the church at 9:30 a.m. and talks about marriage, work and the meaning of success. Poinsettia memorials available n Know a friend, family member or community figure worthy of being remembered in a memorial? St. Joan of Arc is offering the opportunity to create a living memorial to someone this holiday season through the purchase of a poinsettia which will be placed with others in the sanctuary during the Christmas season. Brown Bag Weekends under way n The month of November is "Brown Bag Weekend Month" for the Streetsboro Community Pantry, which is trying to fill as many baskets as possible to help provide a Thanksgiving dinner for Streetsboro families in need this fall. Faith Student Ministry meets Sundays n Faith Student Ministry, Faith Baptist Church of Streetsboro's youth group for seventh- through 12th-graders, meets Sunday evenings from 6 to 7:15 p.m. The group's meetings include singing, praying, Bible study and other fun activities.
